  State Farm insurance Mark Rich, Maui Hawaii i cannot play stupid here, I did not read the policy and that is my fault. I trusted the agent at his word. But what i will say is that when asked a specific question about leaks in the roof, my agent said I was covered. It does not take a genius to understand that. When we discovered that a leak (water through the roof, through the celling) had caused damage to our storage room and its contents, we were amazed that State Farm has a unique “understanding” of the word leak. Seems that all leaks are not created equal. My ONLY advice, trust no one, and read the policy. Not saying Mark lied, but what I will say is when specifically asked about leaks, he assured me I was covered. Mark forgot to inform me that the word leak had multiply meanings. Kind of like asking Bill Clinton a question about sex, Best to trust no one, read the policy, expect the worst, and consider seeking legal advise before purchasing any insurance. The agents either do not fully understand the legal mumbo jumbo (and that may be true) or they just understand and lie anyway. All I know is that for decades and decades of paying policies, when the time comes for a little help, they are no longer your friends. At the very least, Mr. Rich does not understand his product line and cannot be considered as a reliable source for basic information. Very saddened by this event.
